Studio
We bring your thoughts into built form.
A collaborative architecture consultancy for designing residences, commercial spaces and interiors.
The studio
BYT Architects traces its roots to the vision of Late Er. Jayakumar G, a retired Civil Engineer with the Local Self Government Department (LSGD), Government of Kerala, whose commitment to quality, integrity, and engineering excellence laid the foundation for the practice. His legacy is carried forward by his sons, Ar. Sandeep J Kumar, who founded BYT Architects in 2019, and Er. Sanjay J Kumar, who provides engineering expertise and technical support across the firm's projects.
The name BYT , derived from the phrase "Bring Your Thoughts," reflects our belief that every meaningful space begins with an idea. We work closely with our clients to transform their aspirations into architecture that is thoughtful, functional, and enduring.
Rooted in Kerala and working across diverse scales, the practice serves clients throughout India while actively collaborating on projects in the UAE and the UK. Every project is shaped by its people, place, and purpose, creating spaces that are timeless, contextual, and crafted with precision.
Principles
What guides us
Listen first
Good buildings start with good questions. We spend time understanding how you live or work before we draw anything.
Design for climate
Daylight, ventilation and shade are designed in from the outset, so comfort doesn’t depend on machinery.
Respect the site
Every plot has its own orientation, slope and surroundings. The design answers those specifics rather than a template.
Build to last
Honest materials and sound detailing mean the work ages gracefully and stays easy to maintain.
