Sukhadham

Sukhadham was designed for a doctor and their family who wanted a home that felt restful and cost little to run. Sustainability here is practical, not decorative: reduce what the building demands before adding anything to supply it.

Orientation and openings are tuned to Kerala’s climate so the house stays naturally lit and ventilated through most of the day, cutting reliance on artificial light and cooling. Materials were chosen for authenticity and longevity, and detailed to suit the local craftspeople who built them — keeping skill, upkeep and character close to home.

The name means “abode of ease”, and the house earns it: comfortable, low-maintenance, and quietly efficient.
